How to Use CAT ET 2026A Driver Reward Function?

The CAT ET 2026A Driver Reward function provides a way to reward a driver for good driving habits by increasing the vehicle speed limit. The ECM compares the current driving habits of the driver to the targeted driving habits. If the driver performs at or above the targets, the vehicle speed limit increases.

Accessing

To run the Driver Reward function, select "Driver Reward" from the Service menu. What displays next is dependent upon the status of the Driver Reward Enable parameter.

 

If the Driver Reward Enable parameter is Enabled, the Driver Reward screen is displayed:

Make the desired changes in the Driver Reward screen. Click Send. The Enter Customer Passwords dialog box is displayed.

IMPORTANT: Prevent damage to hydraulic system components. DO NOT run engine without oil in hydraulic tank.


NOTE: Sample hydraulic oil once a year.
1. Park machine on a level surface.
2. Position machine with arm cylinder fully retracted and bucket cylinder fully extended.
3. Lower bucket to the ground.


IMPORTANT: Turbocharger may be damaged if engine is not properly shut down.
4. Run engine with engine rpm dial at 1/3 position without load for 2 minutes.
5. Move engine rpm dial to slow idle position.
6. Attach a “Do Not Operate” tag on the right control lever.
7. Pull pilot control shut-off lever to locked position.
8. Open rear right side access door and secure door in open position.
9. Clean valve (A), located on pilot filter housing assembly, and use to sample hydraulic oil.

Possible causes

The filtered battery supply voltage is above 15.5 V

The alternator voltage regulator is faulty

The instrument panel voltage filter system is faulty



Consequences

There is a risk of overvoltage causing damage to the tractor electrical components.



D121 error code: diagnostic file
Check fuses F38 and F12.
Checking the voltage supplied by the two alternators

Test the voltage between terminal 1 of connector X192 or terminal 1 of connector X193 and the earth.



Note: 
For more information about the alternator test, refer to the workshop manual.

Erase any errors in the instrument panel and check that the error code does not re-appear.

Change the alternator voltage regulator. Repair the electrical fault if necessary.

Replace the instrument panel. The condenser inside the instrument panel may be faulty.


Note: 
Before replacing the instrument panel, check to make sure that the two voltage input terminals for the instrument panel are correct. Terminal 1 of connector X55 is connected to a + supply when the ignition is switched on. Terminal 68 of connector X55 is connected to a permanent + supply.


Carry out a test, while checking to ensure that the error code does not re-appear.
