Reason:
First step of inducement process activated
Correct operation of the aftertreatment system is to be ensured by monitoring of :
•Reagent level
•Reagent quality
•NOx emission values
•Components necessary for proper operation of the SCR system
Inducement strategy activation is a consequence of one or multiple failures detected during the continuous monitoring
Troubleshooting:
Correct first the original failure leading to the activation of the inducement process
Important notice :
•Inducement is deactivated when the conditions for its activation have stopped to exist : when original failure leading to the activation of the inducement process is corrected, inducement is deactivated
•Inducement can not be automatically deactivated without the reason for its activation being corrected.
Consequence:
Main reactions :
•P1187-00 first stage of inducement strategy activates a warning
•No power reduction is active
•The DEF indicator is constant on or yellow
•The MIL indicator is switched off
•The driver is informed by a single beep.
