The first time you select an operation which requires communication with control units after manual matching, the program reads information from the control units. This may take a minute or two. The program make sure that the control units that store the chassis ID and serial number all contain the same chassis ID and serial number.

 

If the control units which store the chassis ID/Serial no. contain different chassis IDs/Serial numbers, no programming operations except MID XXX Control unit, programming can be carried out (XXX=MID-number).

 

Note: Testing and calibration operations should not be performed on control units that have different chassis IDs/manufacturing nos., since there is a risk that the result of the operation could be incorrect or that the function could be negatively affected.

Steps:
Error Code / Description: Communication issues with the Vocom adapter (88800300) unit. Note that the Help menu in Tech Tool contains details on the Vocom functionality.

Steps to resolve:
1.Check that all the LED’s flash briefly when powering up the unit.

2.The top LED (PC) is green. When connected to the PC and Tech Tool is running, this light should flash intermittently when communicating.

3.The second LED (vehicle) should be green when connected to the vehicle. Note that this is to the vehicle battery. Ensure that the Ignition key is ON for communication.
• If the “Power USB/Communication”-LED does not light up,
• Try another USB-port
• Check if Windows performs “Installing device driver software”
• Check the USB cable and try different cable, or try another PC
• Still no function? If under warranty (24 months), return the unit.

4.When connected only to the vehicle: The unit should flash the LEDs, and then light the “Power Vehicle”-LED.
• If nothing lights up at all, Try replacing the vehicle cable,
• Check that ignition is on or try another vehicle.
• If the “Critical Error”-LED lit, try to update software
• Still no function? If under warranty (24 months), return the Vocom unit.
• Dealer can file a Parts warranty claim for the Vocom.
• Customers must go to an authorized dealer for warranty.

Chassis Lubrication

General lubrication includes lubricating all the grease fittings in the drivetrain, front and rear suspensions, power steering, and front axle, using a grease gun.
Grease the chassis every 15,000 miles (24,000 km). However, if the vehicle is in a demanding application or running in a dirty or corrosive atmosphere, adjust the lubrication intervals to reflect heavy-duty use. For example, if driven in heavy stop-and-go traffic with a lot of maneuvering, the lubrication intervals should be every 10,000 miles (16,000 km) or less.

Tum engine approx. 1/4 turn anticlockwise to obtain slack part of bslt on driving side. lf this is not done injection pump setting will be incorrect.
Turn crankshaft with 27 mm socket or 5188.
Adjust belt tension to 12.5 units on gauge 5197 by moving coolant pump mounting bracket.

Connect the diagnostic tool to the vehicle,then run the Volvo PTT.

After warning massage display,click “Yes”

Waiting for system reading unit information.

Then you will see the “Work Order Number” window

Move the mouse to click “TT2 XX”,then click “Start Work”



Refreshing central data…waiting
Click the menu bar option “Program”



Focus on right side content to click “1700-08-03-39 Program Electronic Control Unit”
Click “Start”

Then PTT software will check conditions automatically.

Connect you Volvo diagnostic device to your truck by OBD socket.
Then turn on the ignition
Run the Premium tech tool software
Here we going to work offline.

We’re not going to connect to the “Central Station”

Then go to the menu “VCADS Pro”

Enter an appeal number or any number,the select “OK”
